& Related Spaces

WHAT WE DO

We bring children's books into waiting areas of Family Court and related areas in the justice system.

Our book donations are filled with high-quality, diverse children's books. When leaving the family court waiting area, children can take home a book of their choice.

WHO WE SERVE

We proudly offer children's books to any of the children who enter the Family Court system.

We place children's books throughout the Family Court experience, including a lawyer's office, or a judge's chamber.

Our mission is to supply children's books for children in family courts in  Illinois and the surrounding Midwestern states.

In the future, we want to expand and include more states and cities outside the Midwest.

WHY WE DO IT

All children deserve to read and own high-quality, diverse books that are mirrors, windows and doors for their imagination.

When children enter the justice system, a familiar and friendly picture book format may help young people cope with stress and uncertainty.

Children's books, like those we bring to Family Court, can inspire a love for reading, even during a difficult moment.

WHO WE ARE

Our Board of Directors are a diverse dedicated team of individuals working with children, health, literacy and the juvenile justice system.
